How to Pick Up Tickets Purchased Through the Website

Tickets will be available for pick up at the “Tickets/Will Call” tent starting at 2:30PM Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday. As of Thursday August 23 at 9PM weekend passes will no longer be available through the festival website. Bring your email confirmation either printed out or on your phone to claim your tickets.

It’s our 20th birthday!! Who would have thought at the beginning that 20 years would be celebrated! How have we done it? We’ve always embraced the old, the new, legends, up and comers, the best guitarists, piano players, harmonica players, singers and all around entertainers in the blues world. Most of all, we’ve always brought the best damn Blues Party you’ve ever seen to Hawrelak Park every summer! Our Blues Ambassadors, the 250 volunteers who make this blues party hum are among the best in the world, some of them have been with us from day 1 and so have many of the faithful Blues Hounds, the great blues fans that have been on the hill or in the seats from the beginning.

Along the way we’ve been recognized by The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis and are proud recipients of the “Keeping the Blues Alive” award (2008, first Canadian festival to be so honoured!). Festival Producer Cam Hayden has been inducted into the Edmonton Blues Hall of Fame, The Calgary Blues Hall of Fame, and has been honoured nationally with a Mapl Blues Award as Blues Booster of the year… Why? We love the blues and we love embracing the worldwide blues community and inviting them to our party. In 2018, we’ll have visitors from (that we know of) Australia, Switzerland, all across the United States and Canada; folks who know a great party when they see one and want to help us celebrate our 20th. We’re bringing the best the blues world has to offer, to you, for the 20th time in 2018. Join the party – we’ll see you in August! Due to popular demand and to encourage a younger audience to discover and enjoy the blues we’ll have a limited number of special 1/2 price “Youth” passes for those 17 and under for the first time.

Tickets are available through this website only until March 15, and then will also be available at Blackbyrd Myoozik in Strathcona, Ticketmaster and our host hotel, The Chateau Louis Hotel, where Accommodation/Festival Pass/Shuttle Packages are also be available.

3 tickets; 1 for each day – $119/$60 youth (100 available) until December 31 – $129 ($65 Youth) starting January 1, 2018

Friday Pass -$55 advance/$65 gate (Youth -$27.50 adv/$35 gate – 100 available) – Available starting January 1, 2018

First Timer?

Hawrelak Park has limited parking available on a “First come, first served” basis, so we suggest using our FREE FESTIVAL SHUTTLE service from the Windsor Parking lot at the University of Alberta, located 2 blocks south of Saskatchewan Drive on 116 Street. Shuttle hours are 3PM to 11PM Friday; Noon to 11PM on Saturday and Sunday. The University charges $5 to park.

Parking and drop off for persons with disabilities is available at the festival.

We provide supervised motorcycle parking and you can lock up your bicycle in a rack if you pedal to the show.

The Heritage Amphitheatre is in Hawrelak Park, a city park with no overnight parking or camping. The Amphitheatre has 1200 fixed theatre type seats and room for 2000 on a manicured lawn. The venue has perfect sight lines and exceptional sound throughout. Tarps, coolers and pets are not allowed in the Amphitheatre. If you bring a chair please make it a low back, low seat “beach” chair so that everyone can enjoy the show. We serve beer and wine and it may be consumed anywhere in the Amphitheatre. We also have food vendors, an ATM, dance floor for 500 in front of the stage, autograph table and even flush toilets!
