Where

Heritage Amphitheatre, Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, Alberta

As we head into our 21st edition of the Edmonton Blues Festival we continue to embrace the old, the new, legends, up and comers, the best guitarists, piano players, harmonica players, singers and all around entertainers in the blues world. Most of all, we’ve always brought the best damn Blues Party you’ve ever seen to Hawrelak Park every summer! Our Blues Ambassadors, the 250 volunteers who make this blues party hum are among the best in the world, some of them have been with us from day 1 and so have many of the faithful Blues Hounds, the great blues fans that have been on the hill or in the seats from the beginning.

Along the way we’ve been recognized by The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis and are proud recipients of the “Keeping the Blues Alive” award (2008, first Canadian festival to be so honoured!). Festival Producer Cam Hayden has been inducted into the Edmonton Blues Hall of Fame, The Calgary Blues Hall of Fame, and has been honoured nationally with a Mapl Blues Award as Blues Booster of the year. In 2018 the festival received a special proclamation from the city of Nashville recognizing it as a premier blues event… Why? We love the blues and we love embracing the worldwide blues community and inviting them to our party. As always, we’ll have visitors from all across the United States and Canada and from other parts of the world; folks who know a great party when they see one and want to be part of it. Join the party! To encourage a younger audience to discover and enjoy the blues we’ll have a limited number of special 1/2 price “Youth” passes for those 17 and under.

We have a special “Holiday Sale” in December with Non Transferable weekend passes available through our website for $20 off the 2019 price, just $99 plus GST and Service Charges. Only 500 of these will be up for grabs during the month of December so make sure to grab a few for those “Blues Hounds” on your Christmas list! Tickets are available through this website only until March 15, and then will also be available at Blackbyrd Myoozik in Strathcona, Ticketmaster and our host hotel, The Chateau Louis Hotel, where Accommodation/Festival Pass/Shuttle Packages are also be available.

LINE UP POLICY

Any one person may hold up to 4 spots in the pre festival line up on any day. They must be present at all times to reserve those spots in line but we’ll give you up to 60 minutes of unattended time (leave your festival chairs to hold your spot) if you have to leave. If you leave your stuff to hold a spot in line and it’s unattended for more than 60 minutes you belongings will be moved to the back of the line. 60 minutes prior to the gates opening each day all persons who have a spot held by another in line must be present or they will lose their held spot.
