Edmonton's Labbatt Blues Festival

Western Canada's Premier Blues Event, every August in Edmonton's scenic River Valley in Hawrelak Park at The Heritage Amphitheatre.

July 31 update: There are less than 50 weekend passes left for this year's festival, only 150 Saturday day tickets remain and there are fewer than 200 Friday day tickets left ...don't be caught watching from the outside instead of being inside where the real fun is! Congratulations to all nominees and winners of the 2010 Blues Music Awards presented May 6 in Memphis. Performers at Edmonton's Labatt Blues Festival this year were nominated for many awards. Curtis Salgado won as the "Soul/Blues Male Artist of the Year" and he closes our festival Sunday night. Super Chikan won "Album of the Year" and you can catch him Saturday evening. Canadian newcomers MonkeyJunk won the award for "Best New Artist", and will open our festival. Other highlights at the 31st Annual Blues Music Awards included Bonnie Raitt presenting Buddy Guy with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" plus performances by Buddy Guy, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats, The Tommy Castro Band, MonkeyJunk, Jim Byrnes with Steve Dawson and Daniel Lapp, Duke Robillard, Billy Boy Arnold and more. Our host hotel, The Chateau Louis, still has a limited number of "Festival Packages" available that include festival tickets, accomodations, meals, transportation to and from the festival and more. Contact them to get yours before they are all gone.
